First Use Statistics of “Tai-Yi” Released

After finishing the assembly in Nov 2018 and a one-month inner test within the CCSE Professor Committee, the “Tai-Yi” HPC has been available for all SUSTech members to test since Dec 18, 2018. By now, it has been tested university wide for more than a month. Relevant statistics by Jan 22, 2019 are aggregated and presented as follows:

Accounts:Up to now 349 user accounts have been created. Users come from 75 research groups of the university, involving 14 departments including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electric & Electronic Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Earth & Space Science, Ocean Science and Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering, Mechanical & Energy Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Finance, Mechanics & Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine.

Machine Hours: By Jan 22, 2019, the “Tai-Yi” HPC has provided SUSTech members with computing service of 10,128.8 thousand core hours, among which 7,836.8 thousand core hours was consumed from Dec 18, the starting date of the university-wide open test.

Active Users: Up to now, the number of users who have used more than 10 thousand core hours is 41. These users are from 7 departments including Mechanics & Aerospace Engineering (9), Physics (17), Chemistry (7), Ocean Science & Engineering (2), Environmental Science & Engineering (3), Earth & Space Science (1), and Materials Science & Engineering (2).

Active Research Groups: Up to now, the number of research groups who have used more than 10 thousand core hours is 16. These groups are from 7 departments including Mechanics & Aerospace Engineering (3), Physics (3), Chemistry (3), Ocean Science & Engineering (1), Environmental Science & Engineering (3), Eath & Space Science (1), and Materials Science & Engineering (2).
