Notification of Relevant Issues about Charging for Using “Tai-Yi” & “Qi-Ming”

Dear users,

The university-wide notification of charging for the using the “Tai-Yi” and “Qi-Ming” clusters has been issued on Oct 9, 2019. Please refer to Appendix 1 —《南科大【2019】164号 关于南方科技大学科学与工程计算中心高性能集群收费的通知》(SUSTech [2019] No.164 Notification about charging for using the HPC clusters at SUSTech Center for Computational Science and Engineering) for detailed content. We will start to charge formally from Nov 1, 2019. All research groups can start to top up now. Following are the top-up method and relevant issues before charging:

  1. Account List Confirmation: To protect the interests of our users, CCSE will send each PI an account list of recorded user accounts belonging to his/her research group for confirmation. We hope for cooperation and response confirming the group’s account list before Oct 25 from every PI.
  2. Top-Up and Creating Accounts: Please refer to Appendix 2 (Process of Internal Transfer for Machine Hours Recharge) for the top-up method of HPC machine hours. CCSE will lock out all user accounts at 6 p.m. on Oct 31 and clean up all jobs. The accounts of a PI and his/her confirmed group members will be unlocked before Nov 1 and can be used normally if the PI’s account has a balance. CCSE will open the access to every queue for every user by default. If you have any special requirements, please explain it in the top-up request on OA.
  3. Data Clean-Up and Copying: Please clean up your data on your own before 6 p.m., Oct 31. CCSE can provide users with assistance in copying or deleting data.

Should you have any doubt concerning the above affairs, please contact Mr. Ou of CCSE via 0755-88015834 or ouzy@mail.sustech.edu.cn.
